What Is the Invisalign Process Like?
Clear-aligner treatment involves a Dentist or Dental Assistant taking a digital mold of the patient’s teeth to create a digital scan. The computerized model suggests stages between the current and desired teeth positions, and aligners are created for each stage. Each aligner is worn for 22 hours a day for one or two weeks. These, slowly move the teeth into the position agreed between the dentist and the patient. The average treatment time is 13.5 months.

At your next appointment, your dentist will help you to discuss how many hours per day you’ll be required to wear the aligners, in addition to how you’re going to care for them. You’ll also receive your series of aligners and instruction on when to switch them out for the next one in the set.
