Smile Makeovers

First Things First...

What is a Smile Makeover and What is involved?

A smile makeover is the process of improving the appearance of one’s smile through one or more cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as:

Composite bonding
Porcelain veneers
Tooth implants
Teeth whitening
Gum grafting
Crown lengthening
Porcelain crowns

Some of the components taken into consideration include your facial appearance, skin tone, hair color, teeth (color or shade, width, length, shape and tooth display), gum tissue and lips. Smile makeovers are performed for many reasons and customized according to your unique considerations. At SHIMMER DENTAL we offer free consultations to assist you in making the right decision.

Some Available Features of Our

Smile makeovers

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin covers that adhere to teeth to give teeth a more classically shaped look. SHIMMER DENTAL offers a variety of dental veneer options to choose from. Ask our dentists about what’s best for you.

Composite Bonding

Dental bonding, sometimes called composite bonding or teeth bonding, is a cosmetic dentistry treatment used to enhance your smile. During the procedure, your dentist applies tooth-colored resin material to the affected teeth to change their shape, size or color.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth and are designed to blend in with your other teeth. They are an excellent long-term option for restoring your smile.

Zoom Teeth Whitening

The dentist or dental assistant starts by applying the Zoom hydrogen peroxide whitening gel, which works together with the Zoom light to penetrate the teeth and break up the stains and discoloration. The gel remains in place for 15 minutes while the light is activated. During this time, you can relax, watch TV or listen to music.

Invisalign is a treatment that uses a computer-generated mold to realign or correct teeth that are growing or are set incorrectly. With Invisalign braces - usually referred to as an aligner - users will be left with a lovely smile, confident in the knowledge that their teeth have been set straight.

A crown restores a damaged or missing tooth to its normal shape, size and function. A crown can protect the tooth or improve the way it looks.

Smile Makeovers Design

What Is the Smile Design Process Like?

The smile design process begins with getting a consultation and a thorough dental evaluation. With advanced imaging technology, we can capture digital scans of your dental structures, teeth and jaw. These high resolution images can help to easily identify and explain any dental concerns we detect and discuss various treatment approaches.  From this we will propose the best approach just for you.

During our consultation we will also identify any input from you to accompany the observations from our digital scans to find what procedures will enhance and pronounce a beautiful smile that is just right for you.

3D Digital Scans & Exam

The first step is to do a 3D scan and an exam so the doctor can determine the best approach by knowing the ins and outs of your teeth, mouth and jaw.

Treatment planning

Once your consultation is complete, the doctor will present you with a treatment plan custom to your smile and budget so you know the exact steps needed.

Begin Procedures

To make your smile just how you envisioned, this could take a single visit or it may take multiple, depending on the selected procedures and your needs.

Smile Makeovers

You get your consultation... Whats next?

Once you and the doctor have decided on the treatments you’d like to have, we explain how your treatment plan will be accomplished. Depending on the amount of dental work you require, your smile makeover may take a single appointment or several appointments that are spaced apart while healing occurs or restorations are fabricated. If your smile makeover plan includes porcelain veneers, crowns, or dental implants, we will once again use the 3D technology to take digital impressions of the teeth and gums to help design custom restorations that fit comfortably and look natural. The doctor will inform you of any preparation your teeth will require and explain the placement process for the restorations involved in your treatment plan. When the final restorations are fitted and placed, you will be able to enjoy your rejuvenated smile!
