Summary:

The Creative team is looking for a dynamic, creative, and scrappy Social Media Manager to join our group! This role will be responsible for managing our full lifecycle of social media, including: ideating and producing content across all social channels, posting and responding on our social platforms, building and running our roster of freelance/agency partners, and collaborating with our internal team to produce new ideas that make our brand stand out. What You'll Do…

  • CONCEPT: Research and ideate high performing content ideas for social media platforms based on trends, personal creativity, and ability to leverage others. Collaborate with Creative, Growth, and Member Experience groups accordingly.
  • SCHEDULE: Take generated content ideas and build them into a monthly cross-channel content calendar that is accurate, thorough, and aligned with Marketing plans and campaigns.
  • CREATE: Make our social content through self and/or others. This includes:
    • Making some content yourself.
    • Effectively interface and manage the relationships with any ongoing freelance content creators effectively.
    • Oversee, source and field new avenues for making content (e.g. new creators, agencies, influencers, third-party tools) to improve the speed and diversity of the content we post across channels.
    • Over time, operationalize and properly scale new sources and avenues that work.
  • DISTRIBUTE: Schedule and post content on all social channels in a flawless manner. 
  • RESPOND: Once content is live, interact and respond to comments with appropriate BOTM tone of voice that engages our members and prospective members.
  • MEASURE + ANALYZE: Compile and analyze performance across channels; use findings to deliver clear insights and recommendations for future iterations. 

What You Should Have…

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience working in social media and/or content management at a consumer-driven/ lifestyle brand, achieving the following:
    • Successful track record of growing social distribution and following for a brand.
    • Experience optimizing content across social channels and tracking performance metrics to refine content strategy.
  • Proven experience creating social media strategies and content calendars, managing and owning the execution and posting. 
  • Knowledge and deep experience with social media channels.
  • Some Creative chops - ability to make some social content on your own (video shooting + editing, design, etc.).
  • Entrepreneurial; ability to create new things that don’t exist easily.
  • Well-connected with other talented creative professionals.
  • Scrappy and do-er mindset.
  • Ability to organize and scale what works over time.
  • A unique POV and creative outlook on social content and engagement. 
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate data to senior level stakeholders.
  • Project management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fan of new release fiction or a current or former Book of the Month member.

Salary Range: $90,000-$130,000
