About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to join its senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in the strategic fundraising efforts. The CAO will be responsible for leading the implementation of a best-in-class fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and ensures long-term financial sustainability. This includes partnering with the president and board of directors to close out a comprehensive campaign, developing a clear vision for fundraising, and establishing performance metrics to meet ambitious revenue goals. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic frontline fundraiser with a proven track record in securing major gifts and leading successful campaigns, and will be expected to foster a culture of philanthropy, strengthen donor engagement, and encourage cross-departmental collaboration to maximize fundraising success. Candidates for the CAO position should have at least 10 years' of fundraising experience, with a strong preference for those familiar with the local philanthropic landscape. The role requires a strategic leader, an inspirational communicator, and a natural relationship-builder with a passion for the mission. The successful candidate will lead a growing team of development professionals, ensuring their activities are aligned with the organization's goals, and will be committed to furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
