Test Engineer

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Direct Reports:

Primary Function:

This role is responsible for ensuring that all products meet internal and external requirements through robust, efficient, and automated testing processes. Develop and optimize test environments (automated and digital systems), by leveraging programming skills, digital integration, and basic server/service administration tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and optimize test processes and test plans to ensure that products meet internal and customer specifications, including integration of manual and automated test activities.
• Develop or modify test scripts, test software, and automated test environments using programming languages to meet product testing requirements.
• Work with automation and IT teams to select, validate, and maintain automated test equipment and test software that meet product testing requirements.
• Perform testing and validation of new products and configurations, ensuring alignment with product specifications and customer requirements.
• Oversee the review and implementation of ECOs affecting test processes, ensuring that test coverage and equipment are updated as needed.
• Perform failure analysis of test failures, collaborating with Product Engineering, ME and SQE to identify root causes and ensure corrective actions.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve test processes, including automation upgrades, digital integration, and data-driven enhancements to support operational excellence.
• Support integration of DFMS (Digital Factory Management Systems) and digital tools for real-time monitoring and control of test processes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for test-related customer escalations, ensuring timely responses, thorough root cause analysis, and effective resolution.
• Collaborate with multiple departments (Product Engineering, Quality, SQE, Automation, IT, and other departments to align testing strategies with manufacturing and customer requirements.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Required Experience

• 3–5 years experience in product testing, automated systems, or quality validation in electronics manufacturing.
