Senior Environmental Health & Safety Consultant, CIH Senior Environmental Health & Safety Consultant, CIH Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Senior EHS Consultant, CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) for our New Jersey team. This highly motivated individual will provide guidance on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and best practices to ensure workplace compliance and risk mitigation. This role involves staying up to date with regulatory requirements, analyzing data to improve safety performance, and advising clients on sustainable and compliant operational practices. In addition, this individual will design and lead Industrial Hygiene projects as well as mentor other EHS Consultants in the practice of Industrial Hygiene activities. This position reports to a regional EHS Director. This role involves office, onsite, and remote obligations across New Jersey and NYC, and is based in Florham Park, NJ. Responsibilities: Measure occupational and environmental hazards, such as noise and ergonomics, using calibrated scientific equipment and/or collecting samples of dust, vapor or gases according to a defined operating procedure. Measure the effectiveness of engineered control systems such as fume hoods. Participate in the inspection and examination of machinery and equipment, such as ventilation and engineering controls and proprietary client equipment. Conduct workplace safety inspections according to a defined procedure, evaluating the use of personal protective equipment, such as respirators, respirators, protective eyewear, or hardhats, according to applicable regulations. These inspections of the workplace will involve talking with workers and observing their work. Identify potential accidents and health hazards, such as toxic vapors, mold, mildew, and explosive gas-air mixtures and help implement appropriate control measures, such as adjustments to ventilation systems. Help investigate accidents and injuries, identifying causes and recommending remedial action. Communicate with Client personnel regarding workplace safety issues, recommending corrective actions. Conduct routine EHS safety trainings such as new employee orientation, hazard communication, fork truck trainings, without supervision. Write reports, including accident reports, and enter information on required Occupational Safety and Health Administration recordkeeping forms. Assist in the development of specific areas of occupational health and safety systems, including drafting or updating policies, procedures, and manuals. Design and implement industrial hygiene sampling strategies using accepted methodologies (NIOSH, OSHA, ACGIH). Basic Requirements: Must hold an active CIH certification from the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (formerly the American Board of Industrial Hygiene). 5-10 years’ working experience in an EH&S capacity with at least 3 of those years as a professional advisor and/or consultant to third party clients. Bachelor’s degree or above in occupational health, safety, or a related scientific field, such as biology, chemistry or engineering. Completed two or more industry-recognized training courses (OSHA 10 or 30, ABSA, HAZWOPER, DOT/IATA HAZMAT Transportation). Active member in at least one national professional safety organization including local chapters. Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship. Must have a reliable form of transportation. Preferred requirements: Experience in Life Sciences or Laboratory experience. #LI-Onsite
