Job title: Payroll Coordinator 2

Shift timings: Hybrid -9am to 5 pm

Job Description:

The Payroll Coordinator II is responsible for processing and reconciling payroll, managing manual checks, and supporting specialized payroll and tax-related projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and proficiency in payroll systems (preferably Workday and Kronos). The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to resolve payroll issues promptly while ensuring compliance with internal policies and tax regulations.

  • Proficiency in Payroll Software : Expertise in using payroll systems, particularly Workday and Kronos, to process and manage payroll data efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Payroll Regulations : In-depth understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accurate payroll processing.
  • Advanced Excel Skills : Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including functions like formulas, pivot tables, and data reconciliation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead payroll and tax-related projects as assigned by management.
  • Process and input payroll data accurately and on time.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with payroll procedures and SOX regulations.
  • Audit and approve payroll transactions for tax and policy adherence.
  • Prepare manual payments and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Manage payroll systems, including integration with timekeeping tools like Kronos, Work day.
  • Handle confidential employee information with discretion.
  • Resolve employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with HR Shared Services and support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure timely processing of payroll for assigned pay groups.

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible payroll experience; CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred.
