We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Everett, Washington. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims and records for insurance purposes. This is a long-term contract position offering a stable opportunity to contribute to the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:
• Retrieve and review medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Prepare and submit claims to various insurance providers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Utilize Epic software and other tools to manage patient data and billing processes efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and expedite claims processing.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify billing details and ensure proper documentation.
• Monitor and track the status of submitted claims, following up on any delays or rejections.
• Assist in training initiatives to enhance team proficiency in medical billing software and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive patient and billing information.
• Provide support for shared services and offshore billing operations as needed.• Proven experience in medical billing or a related role within the healthcare industry.
• Familiarity with Epic software or willingness to undergo training to become proficient.
• Strong understanding of insurance processes, including TRICARE and other providers.
• Ability to accurately handle and review medical records for billing purposes.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with insurance companies and healthcare providers.
• Proficiency in claim administration and resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
