Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Supervises the servicing, repair and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify aircraft are airworthy. Ensure compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures both in house and within the aviation industry. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Coordinate workflow on aircraft projects

o Set an example of compliance with company Policies & Procedures

o Supervise work practices for aircraft airworthiness

o Provide technical support to technicians

o Ensure safety and company guidelines are followed

o Provide support for maintenance manager

o Ensure all work is completed before the final inspection

o Oversees quality control

o Ensuring that all test equipment is calibrated and maintained before use

o Ensuring compliance with all service bulletins and airworthiness directives

o Adhere to FAA regulations and guidelines

o Inspects and repairs aircraft that are housed at the facility as directed by the Director of Maintenance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

o Supervise work practices to Ensure Company Policies & Procedures are followed

o Ensure labor on work orders is organized and productive

o Ensure parts & supplies request dates support WO Goals & "Out Dates"

o Direct technician's daily workload and priorities


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

o At least 5 years' experience in aviation project management

o FAA Airframe & Power Plant certification

o Associate's degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology (Preferred)

o Experienced working with type of aircraft operated at facility (Preferred)

o Model specific training (Preferred) Pilatus PC12, PC24, Cirrus SR and SF series.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

o Experience as a lead in aviation maintenance and operations

o Must be thoroughly familiar with company Policies & Procedures

o Demonstrating the ability to manage and supervise people

o Good working knowledge of computers, internet, Microsoft office suite and office equipment

o Understand and comprehend specialized technical manuals, procedure manual, blueprints, diagrams, schematics and detailed forms.

o Knowledge of FAA regulations and FAR/AIM/AMT

o Knowledge and use of specialized tools for aircraft inspection and repair

o Must be able to safely operate aircraft service equipment such as: auxiliary power unit; aircraft tug; power tools; mechanical hand tools/ paint spray equipment; tire/wheel maintenance equipment; electrical test equipment; and battery chargers.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

o Availability outside of normal work hours for rotating On Call schedule.

o Mandatory overtime may be required.

o Must work in all types of weather conditions.
