JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for leading Casino Hotel pricing strategies, generating rates, and optimizing overall Hotel profitability for all hotel locations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for recommending action to maximize revenue at all hotels.
  • Produces property-level business reporting of all relevant KPIs on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis for all hotels.
  • Develops ad hoc analysis on all Yield and Hotel Revenue Management operations.
  • Manages and maintains the Hotel Revenue Management System (RMS) for all hotels.
  • Monitors Hotel RMS and keeps up to date with all hotel trends including forecasting.
  • Utilizes available data and tools to create and manage analytical reports for all hotels.
  • Analyzes trends and predicts occupancy levels that will be used by the hotel and other departments to schedule staff.
  • Works with Hotel Management to establish published room rates for all hotels.
  • Works with Reservations Agents to communicate room rates for all hotels.
  • Works with Database Marketing and Player Development on determining the correct room offers for all hotels.
  • Works with Group Sales to determine group block sizes and rates for all hotels.
  • Monitors occupancy levels and pricing in the competitive market for all locations.
  • Evaluates usage and profitability of OTA systems for all hotels.
  • Communicates and negotiates with area hotels to create working relationships.
  • Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related area from a four-year college or university and three years related experience with Hotel Yield Management.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Minimum of three (3) years experience in hotel management, preferably in yield analysis preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to write effective letters, memos, speeches. and articles for publication. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from staff members at all levels, guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Ability to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
