Job Title: General Laborer - Concrete and Masonry Construction
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer in concrete and masonry construction projects. This role involves performing a variety of manual tasks to support construction efforts and ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks in concrete and masonry construction projects, preparing surfaces for concrete.
• Shovel concrete into designated construction areas.
• Engage in various tasks beyond concrete work, supporting overall labor needs.
• Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the area daily to eliminate hazards.
• Handle and store materials appropriately.
• Load and unload trucks, haul and hoist materials.
• Follow proper safety and incident reporting procedures consistently.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of equipment, materials, and supplies used in concrete and masonry construction.
• Understanding of first aid and safety precautions.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to daily work schedules.
• Capability to lift heavy objects, stand for long durations, and perform physical labor under adverse conditions.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general labor, concrete construction, commercial construction, and equipment operation.
• Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Work Environment

You will work both indoors and outdoors, facing various weather conditions. The role requires standing for extended periods and walking on uneven terrain between buildings. You must be able to lift up to 75lbs and work in squatting or kneeling positions across different departments. Protective gear including steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses are mandatory.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
