Executive Director – Senior Living Facility

Location/Onsite: Mesa, AZ (In-Office)

A Day in the Life of the Executive Director

As the Executive Director, you will oversee the daily operations of the Legacy Retirement of Mesa community. You will ensure that residents receive the highest quality care, all while maintaining operational excellence. From managing a team of dedicated staff to driving business strategies for growth and profitability, your leadership will shape the entire facility’s atmosphere. You’ll focus on increasing occupancy, managing budgets, and adhering to health regulations while always keeping the well-being of your residents at the forefront.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all aspects of the senior living facility, ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Lead, recruit, train, and develop staff to maintain a positive work environment
  • Manage budgets, develop cost-effective strategies, and track financial performance
  • Ensure high occupancy rates through marketing, outreach, and relationship-building
  • Ensure the facility meets all regulatory standards, including health and safety compliance
  • Foster relationships with residents, families, and staff, ensuring satisfaction and comfort
  • Oversee the implementation of programs and services that enhance the residents' quality of life
  • Collaborate with senior management on long-term strategy and business planning

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as an Executive Director in an Assisted Living and/or Independent Living management facility
  • 7+ years of insuring and maintaining occupancy in the facility
  • Experience managing facilities with 200+ rooms
  • Must hold an AZ AL (Assisted Living) Manager License or Health Facility Administrator License
  • Experience in senior living healthcare general management, preferably in long-term care
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A passion for serving seniors and enhancing their lives
  • Ability to prioritize, make decisions, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
