About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Diversity Officer to lead and direct its diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, data analysis, and managerial oversight of DEIA programs, ensuring that DEIA principles are integrated into the company's policies, program development, and service delivery. This role is pivotal in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and requires the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. While a bachelor's degree and at least six years of experience in DEIA leadership are essential, experience in a government or public sector environment is preferred. The Chief Diversity Officer will serve as the company's liaison with relevant state and civil service DEIA entities, playing a critical role in meeting statewide diversity objectives. The position demands a proactive approach to the seamless exchange of insights, recommendations, and feedback regarding the DEIA plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DEIA, with a focus on creating a supportive and inclusive environment. The role is a management/confidential (MC) position and is not tenure-bearing. Approval for the appointment will go through the Budget Director Approval (BDA) process, including a fingerprint background check.
